Price plausibility
An offer’s position, 0–100, in the distribution of asks for comparable placements: same type, same inventory mode, same claimed-DR decade, across every marketplace we hold. low is under the 10th percentile: real authority is not sold at that price, so the claimed number is more likely bought than the link is a bargain. high is over the 90th: expensive for its band, a fact rather than a warning.
Where does plausibility appear in the API?
plausibility: { pct, band, flag, n } on offers and lines; plausibility_min_pct in a brief or search sets a floor per band instead of one price floor across a catalogue whose bands run from tens to thousands of dollars. Null when the band has under 30 domains.
Why does it matter?
Because a fixed “never pay under $X for DR 50” rule goes stale the day the market moves; the distribution does not. Method: pricing methodology.
