Inventory mode: named, pre-approval, blind
Named: a specific, identified domain you can inspect before ordering. Pre-approval: the seller proposes domains you approve before placement. Blind: characteristics are guaranteed (a DR floor, a topic) and the domain is assigned when the order is fulfilled. Most of the catalogue is named; blind is cheaper and cannot be compared with named on price.
Where does inventory mode appear in the API?
inventory_mode on every offer and a filter on search and briefs. Blind rows have no domain, no verification and no score until fulfilment; the price bands used for plausibility and the market reference are kept per mode so blind and named are never compared as if they were the same product.
Why does it matter?
An agent that presents blind inventory as a specific site is lying to its user. The mode is on the row so it does not have to guess.
See it on a live row:

Methods: research methodology.
